Weather permitting, we hold an annual Open House event called “WHERE THE RAPTORS SOAR! – A DAY AT THE HAWK WATCH“. We usually hold our event on the third Saturday of September, and our 8th annual Open House was on Sept 18, 2021. We usually get lots of visitors that enjoy refreshments and plenty of activities and exhibits including: Wildlife Center of Virginia raptor program, Augusta Bird Club, Piedmont Virginia Bird Club, Rockingham Bird Club, Blue Ridge Young Birders Club, raptor identification workshops, Monarch life egg to butterfly, Master Naturalists, American Kestrel exhibit, and more.
