UNTAMED – Bird Migration (July 30, 2020)
In 2019, Virginia Public Media (VPM) produced “Untamed: Life is Wild”, a television series that offers an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look at the lifesaving work of the Wildlife Center of Virginia. Season 2, Episode 211 Bird Migration was aired on July 30, which featured Rockfish Gap Hawk Watch and its Coordinator, Vic Laubach. Vic was on site at the hawk watch to talk about raptor migration and how we monitor raptor populations. In this episode, watch Vic, Wildlife Center staff, and other migratory bird experts as they explain why birds migrate, and the dangers that they face along their journey.
